The Office of Professional Standards is under the command of Captain Richie Wolford and includes Internal Affairs, Recruiting, Public Information, and the Training Unit.

This Office is responsible for many different functions of the Police Department, including developing curricula for new training, the dissemination of information to the public and media, quarterly staff inservice training, new recruit orientation, and administrative investigations involving police personnel.
