Heather Bryant and Yvonne Jarrett have been pictured across the windows of Greenwood Police Department units #04-4 and #04-5 in the hopes that someone would recognize them and contact Law Enforcement. The effort has paid off with the recovery of Bryant in Dallas, Texas. Jarrett was located in Grand Prairie, TX. The Greenwood Police Department was notified on January 30, 2009 with the news of Bryant and Jarrett’s recovery.
“We are proud to have participated in the recovery effort”, said Lt James Flynn. “Anytime we can contribute to the recovery of a child, it gives the officers and department a sense of accomplishment. It is great to see a program work that helps bring families together.”
“This program is a vital aide in the fight against missing children”, Flynn added. “The high visibility brings citizens into the search and increases the chances for a successful recovery.”
These are the third and fourth missing children pictured on a Greenwood Police Department vehicle who have been recovered. The first child recovered with this program had been pictured on a Clarksville Police Department vehicle and was recovered in May of this 2008. The poster will remain on the back of the unit marked as recovered until a new poster can be put in its place.
